Who can take part
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You need a confirmed diagnosis of a clot in a brain vein (cerebral venous thrombosis, or CVT).
- You must start the study drug (a DOAC) within 5 to 15 days of beginning standard blood thinner treatment (heparin).
- You cannot have a condition called triple-positive antiphospholipid syndrome.
- You cannot be pregnant and need blood thinners throughout the pregnancy.
- You cannot have a bleeding disorder or severe kidney or liver problems.
