This study tests whether a medication called pentoxifylline can reduce cocaine use in people who smoke or inject cocaine but aren't ready to stop. You'll receive either pentoxifylline or a placebo to see if it helps control cravings or use.

Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 55 years old
- You have used cocaine by smoking or injecting recently (confirmed by a urine test)
- You are not currently seeking treatment to stop drug use
- You have no major medical or mental health conditions besides cocaine use disorder
- Your heart test (ECG) is normal
- If female, you must use effective birth control and not be pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have no known allergies to pentoxifylline
- You have no history of head injury, seizures, brain tumors, or family history of seizures
- You can speak and read English
