Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have acute myeloid leukemia or a similar high-grade bone marrow cancer (not a rare type called APL).
  • You have at least one health issue that makes you less fit for strong chemo, like being less active (ECOG 2-3), having heart problems, kidney issues, or lung problems.
  • Your heart function (ejection fraction) is at least 40%, checked recently.
  • You have acceptable liver and kidney function (certain test results within limits).
  • If female and able to have children, you agree to use birth control during the study.
