Who can take part

  • You have a specific type of cancer where the stomach meets the esophagus (called esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma, types II or III).
  • Your cancer is at an early stage (cT1) or more advanced stage (cT2 or higher).
  • You are planning to have surgery to remove the cancer.
  • You are not allergic to the blue dye (methylene blue) or another dye (fluorescein sodium) used in the study.
  • You do not have serious heart or blood vessel problems that would make surgery unsafe.
  • You have not taken part in any other research drug or device study in the past month.
