Who can take part

  • You are an adult who needs surgery to replace either your mitral valve or aortic valve.
  • You must be well enough to undergo open-heart surgery with a heart-lung machine (cardiopulmonary bypass).
  • You should be able to safely take blood-thinning medication (anticoagulation therapy).
  • You must understand the study goals, agree to participate, and be willing to come back for follow-up visits.

Testing a new aortic heart valve in India

This trial tests a new type of aortic heart valve (PoliaValve) for people with severe aortic valve disease who need valve replacement surgery. If you qualify, you will receive the experimental valve and be followed for one year to see how well it works.

NCT06025149Recruiting
Study of a New Biological Heart Valve 'UniLine'

This study tests a new biological heart valve called 'UniLine' for people who need to replace their mitral valve (the valve between the left heart chambers) or aortic valve (the main valve sending blood to the body) for the first time. If you qualify, you would have planned surgery (not an emergency) and need to be free of certain other serious health conditions.

NCT06518681Enrolling by invitation
Testing a new polymer heart valve for aortic disease

This trial tests a new type of artificial heart valve made of polymer (a special plastic-like material) for people with severe aortic valve disease. It aims to see if the valve is safe and works well, giving you an option for a replacement valve that might last longer.

Study testing a new valve delivered through a blood vessel

This trial studies Prizvalve Pro™, a new transcatheter (catheter-based) aortic valve replacement, for people with severe aortic valve narrowing who are too high-risk for standard surgery. It may help your heart work better and improve symptoms by replacing the failing valve without open-heart surgery.

Polymer heart valve study for mitral valve disease

This trial is testing a new polymer artificial heart valve for people with severe mitral valve problems. It aims to see if this valve is safe and works well during surgical replacement.

Testing a new artificial heart valve for aortic valve disease

This trial tests a new polymer heart valve for people with severe aortic valve narrowing or leakage. It aims to see if the valve is safe and works well as a replacement.
