Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You have a cough that started after a respiratory infection and has lasted 3 to 8 weeks.
  • Your cough is dry or with a little clear phlegm, and your chest X-ray is normal.
  • You rate your cough as at least 60 out of 100 on a scale where 100 is the worst possible cough.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant.
  • You have not smoked in the last 6 months.
