Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have severe aortic valve narrowing (aortic stenosis) and your doctor has recommended a procedure to fix it.
  • You are scheduled to have a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
  • You are willing and able to provide signed consent to participate.
  • You do not have cardiogenic shock (a sudden, severe drop in blood flow).
  • You do not have severe kidney disease (estimated GFR below 30).
  • You are expected to live at least one more year (no other life-limiting illness like advanced cancer).
  • You are not pregnant.
