Who can take part

  • You've recently had a heart attack or unstable angina (acute coronary syndrome).
  • You had a successful angioplasty (balloon or stent) to open a blocked artery.
  • At least two of your heart arteries are not completely blocked and are between 2 and 6 mm wide.
  • You are not on life support or medicines for shock (hemodynamically stable).
  • You do not have an allergy to paclitaxel (the drug on the balloon).
