Targeted drugs plus chemo for HER2-positive rectal cancer

Rectal CancerHER2-positive

Part of Cancer, Digestive system clinical trials.

This trial tests whether a combination of two targeted drugs (trastuzumab and pertuzumab biosimilars) plus chemotherapy can shrink advanced HER2-positive rectal cancer before surgery. It aims to improve response and potentially reduce the need for more aggressive treatments.

Study of short radiation and combo therapy for HER2-positive rectal cancer

This trial tests a new treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer that has HER2 protein. It combines short-course radiation with three drugs: disitamab vedotin, sintilimab, and capecitabine. The goal is to see if this can shrink the tumor and allow for surgery that saves the anus.

Tucatinib plus trastuzumab for HER2-positive rectal cancer

This Phase 2 study tests whether tucatinib combined with trastuzumab can slow or shrink rectal cancer that is HER2-positive and has certain genetic tumor features. If you qualify, you may benefit from a targeted treatment approach aimed at the HER2 pathway.
