Who can take part

  • You must have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, confirmed by a scope and tissue sample.
  • Your disease must be moderate to severe, as measured by your doctor using standard scoring tools.
  • You need to be on stable doses of any current IBD medications for a certain period before the study.
  • You cannot have certain complications like an active abscess, a stoma, or extensive bowel surgery in the past.
  • If you have ulcerative colitis, you cannot have recently had a severe flare called toxic megacolon or needed IV steroids in the last 2 weeks.
