Who can take part
- Men aged 18 years or older
- Have advanced prostate cancer that has spread and is no longer responding to at least one standard hormone therapy
- Able to perform daily activities with little or no help (ECOG score 0 or 1)
- Expected to live at least 12 more weeks
- Agree to use effective birth control during the study and for several months after the last dose
- Cannot have had certain previous treatments or have active brain metastases, serious heart or lung conditions, or other uncontrolled health problems
