Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinson's disease (not caused by another condition).
  • You experience low motivation or apathy (score above 1.7 on a motivation index).
  • Your Parkinson's medications have been stable for at least 1 month and will stay stable during the trial.
  • You can complete a behavioral test and a noninvasive therapy (a small electrical device placed on your ear).
  • You score at least 22 on a memory and thinking test (MMSE).
  • You are able to undergo an MRI scan safely (no pacemaker, metal implants, or other contraindications).
