Mitochondria therapy for hard-to-treat myositis

Who can take part
- You must be 19 years or older.
- You must have polymyositis or dermatomyositis with slowly worsening muscle weakness (and a typical skin rash for dermatomyositis).
- A blood test must show high creatine kinase (CK) or positive myositis-specific antibodies (MSA).
- Your muscle strength score (MMT-8) must be below 125 out of 150, and you have at least two other signs of active disease.
- You are currently on steroids or other immune-suppressing therapy but it is not working well enough, or you cannot tolerate it.
