  • You have type 2 diabetes.
  • You are between 50 and 75 years old.
  • You have had diabetes for more than 5 years.
  • You have nerve damage in your feet or legs (peripheral neuropathy).
  • Your balance is not too poor (Berg Balance Scale score above 20).
