Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, a type of cancer that starts in the lining of the mouth, throat, or voice box.
  • You had surgery to remove the cancer and your doctor found one or more 'intermediate-risk' features, like a larger tumor (T3 or T4) or cancer in lymph nodes.
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You are in good general health, able to care for yourself (Karnofsky score above 70%).
  • Your blood cell counts, liver function, and kidney function are within normal ranges as shown by recent lab tests.
