Shoe insole and ankle device to detect early memory decline

This study tests if a special insole and ankle sensor can detect early signs of memory loss or dementia by tracking how you walk. If you can walk without a cane or walker and are 55 or older, you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You are 55 years old or older.
  • You can walk without any help from a cane, walker, or other device.
  • You are willing and able to put the insole and leg sensor on and take it off each day, or have someone help you.
  • You can speak and understand English.
  • You do not have any current leg or foot problems such as swelling, clots, open sores, or broken bones.
  • Your doctor agrees that it is safe for you to take part.
