Who can take part

  • You must have low- or intermediate-risk prostate cancer that has not spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body.
  • You need to be able to have an MRI scan (for example, no pacemaker or other implanted device that prevents it).
  • You cannot have had previous radiation therapy to the pelvis, chemotherapy, or surgery like prostate removal for your cancer.
  • You should not have had a transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) in the last 8 weeks.
  • You must not have had more than 6 months of hormone therapy (androgen deprivation therapy) for your prostate cancer.
  • You cannot have a hip replacement or a prostate larger than 100cc on MRI.
