Who can take part
- You had a stroke (either from a clot or bleeding) that caused weakness on one side of the body, and it happened less than 3 months ago.
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- Before your stroke, you were able to live independently without major help.
- You are alert enough to actively take part in the treatment, with more than minimal cognitive function.
- You have significant muscle weakness (total strength score of 48 or less out of 60) and it is likely due to nerve or muscle damage after the stroke.
- You cannot take part if you have certain other conditions like uncontrolled epilepsy, a pacemaker, severe spasticity, or a history of diabetes with nerve damage.
