Spinal cord stimulation for arm and leg weakness after stroke

This trial tests whether a spinal cord stimulation device—a small implant that sends gentle electrical signals to your spinal cord—can help improve arm and leg strength and movement in people who had a stroke at least 6 months ago and haven't fully recovered with regular therapy. The goal is to see if this treatment is safe and effective.

Who can take part

  • Had one stroke (either bleeding or clot) at least 6 months ago that caused weakness on one side of your body
  • Between ages 20 and 80
  • Completed rehabilitation therapy after your stroke but still have limited arm and leg movement
  • Still have some feeling in your limbs (partial sensory function preserved)
  • Can follow instructions and complete questionnaires (good memory and mental clarity)
  • Don't have severe other health conditions, spinal cord compression, or joint stiffness
