This trial is for people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are in remission but still have tiny traces of leukemia cells that can be found with sensitive tests (called MRD-positive). The study is testing a new treatment approach to try to get rid of those remaining cells and prevent the cancer from coming back.

Who can take part

  • You have a type of AML that is not acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL).
  • Your leukemia is in complete remission (no signs of disease on standard tests).
  • You have MRD-positive status, meaning special tests found small amounts of leukemia cells in your bone marrow or blood.
  • You are at least 14 years old.
  • You do not plan to have a stem cell transplant within the next 4 weeks.
  • You or your family member can sign a consent form agreeing to the study.
