Who can take part

  • You have pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery or is borderline removable, or you cannot have surgery for medical reasons.
  • You will receive chemotherapy before radiation therapy.
  • You have not had radiation therapy to the same area before.
  • You are in generally good health with a Karnofsky score above 70, meaning you can care for yourself and do daily activities.
  • Your blood counts and kidney function are within certain limits (white blood cells, platelets, hemoglobin, and creatinine).
  • You are able to have an MRI scan.
