Olpasiran trial to lower Lp(a) and prevent first heart attack or stroke

Who can take part

  • You must be 50 years or older.
  • Your Lp(a) level must be 200 nmol/L or higher at screening.
  • You must have multiple risk factors for heart disease (like diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking) or some evidence of artery narrowing.
  • You cannot have had a previous heart attack, stroke, mini-stroke, or severe leg circulation problem.
  • You cannot have had or be planning any artery-opening procedure (like stenting or bypass).
  • You must not have a history of a serious bleeding disorder.
