Testing lepodisiran to reduce heart plaque buildup

Who can take part

  • Your Lp(a) level must be 175 nmol/L or higher (a specific type of cholesterol that increases heart disease risk)
  • You must have either had a heart attack, stroke, or other heart event, or be at high risk for one
  • A CT scan of your heart (CCTA) must show you have plaque buildup in your coronary arteries
  • If you take cholesterol medications like statins, niacin, or PCSK9 inhibitors, you must have been on them for at least 8 weeks without changes
  • You cannot have had a major heart event within the past 60 days before enrollment
  • You must be able to safely have a CT scan (no allergies to contrast dye, no certain devices, no kidney problems)
