Muvalaplin for heart disease in people with high lipoprotein(a)

Who can take part

  • You have a high level of a specific kind of cholesterol called lipoprotein(a) — at least 175 nanomoles per liter.
  • You have had a heart attack, stroke, or a procedure to open blocked arteries within the last 10 years, OR you have a condition that puts you at high risk for a first heart attack or stroke (like blocked arteries in your heart, neck, or legs, a high calcium score in your heart arteries, or kidney problems with diabetes).
  • You have not had a heart attack, stroke, or major heart surgery in the last 3 months.
  • Your blood pressure is under control (not too high).
  • You do not have severe heart failure or severe kidney disease.
  • You have not had cancer (other than some skin cancers) in the last 5 years.
