Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You must have stable coronary artery disease with at least one blocked artery (50% or more) seen on a heart imaging test in the past year.
  • You must have stable angina (chest pain with activity) and be on steady heart medications for at least 4 weeks.
  • You cannot have a blood clot in your heart or a ventricular aneurysm (a bulging heart wall).
  • You must not have had a heart attack, stroke, or major heart surgery in the past 90 days.
  • You must not be pregnant, and if you can have children, must use effective birth control during the study and for 4 weeks after.
