CD5-targeting immune cells for T-cell blood cancers

Hematological Malignancies

Treatments studied

Part of Blood & lymphatic, Cancer clinical trials.

This trial tests a new treatment using specially engineered immune cells (NK cells) that target the CD5 protein found on certain T-cell blood cancers. The cells are given after a short course of chemotherapy to help them work better. It may be an option for people with aggressive T-cell cancers that have not responded to standard therapy.

Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 80 years old.
  • Your cancer must test positive for CD5 protein (at least 30% of cells).
  • You need to have a specific T-cell blood cancer, such as T-ALL, T-PLL, or certain T-cell lymphomas.
  • You should be at least 1 week past your last chemotherapy (except for some targeted drugs).
  • Your major organs (kidneys, liver, heart, lungs) must be working well enough.
  • You must be willing to use effective birth control during and for a time after the study.

NCT05110742Recruiting· Phase 1/Phase 2
CD5-targeting NK cell therapy for blood cancers

This trial tests a new kind of immune cell therapy (NK cells) that are made to attack cancer cells carrying the CD5 marker. You will have a short course of chemotherapy before the infusion to help the cells work. It is for people with certain blood cancers that have not responded to standard treatments.

NCT07444632Recruiting· Phase 1
Gene-modified cord blood cells for advanced blood cancers

This trial tests a new type of immune cell therapy using cord blood cells that are grown to attack cancer cells. It is for people with certain blood cancers (lymphoma or acute lymphoblastic leukemia) that have come back or not responded to standard treatments.

Houston, Texas
NCT07164469Not yet recruiting· Phase 2
CAR NK cells for lymphoma that returns early

This trial tests a new type of cell therapy for people with certain types of lymphoma (Hodgkin or diffuse large B-cell) that did not respond fully to first treatment or came back within a year. The therapy uses modified natural killer (NK) cells that target a protein called CD70 found on the cancer cells.

NCT07220993Recruiting· Phase 1
Modified immune cells for aggressive T-cell cancers

This trial tests a new treatment using specially engineered immune cells (CAR T cells) from a past stem cell donor to attack cancer cells in people with certain types of T-cell cancers that have returned after a stem cell transplant. The goal is to see if this treatment can lead to remission so a second stem cell transplant can be done.

NCT06909474Recruiting· Phase 1
CD5-targeted CAR-NK therapy for relapsed T-cell blood cancers

This trial tests a new therapy using your own immune cells (NK cells) engineered to find and kill cancer cells that carry the CD5 protein. It is for people with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia or certain T-cell lymphomas that have not responded to treatment or have returned.

Wuhan, Hubei
NCT06316856Recruiting· Phase 1/Phase 2
Targeted immune cell therapy for resistant T-cell cancers

This trial tests a new immune cell therapy (CAR T-cells) that targets CD5 found on certain T-cell cancers. It may be an option for people whose cancer has not responded to other treatments.
