Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and it has been less than 2 years since your first symptoms started.
  • Your ALS is getting worse steadily (at least a 0.5 point drop per month on a standard rating scale).
  • You have good lung function (FVC test shows 70% or more of normal) and you do NOT use a breathing machine like BiPAP or a ventilator.
  • You have no serious heart, liver, kidney, or other medical conditions, and you are not pregnant or planning pregnancy.
