Blood markers in primary vs. secondary antiphospholipid syndrome

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) based on updated guidelines, meaning you have had blood clots or pregnancy complications and positive antibody tests (like aCL, anti-β2-glycoprotein I, or lupus anticoagulant) for at least 12 weeks.
  • You do not currently have an infection or other inflammatory condition that is not caused by APS.
  • You do not have a blood cancer (like leukemia) or other blood disorder.
  • You have not had a recent blood transfusion or taken medications that change your platelet count, except for APS treatments.
