- You have a diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) from a clotting or rheumatology clinic.
- You do not have other known causes for blood clots, like cancer, using birth control pills that contain estrogen, or a lack of proteins C or S (natural clot-preventing proteins).
