Who can take part

  • You have moderate to severe depression (score of 20 or higher on a depression scale).
  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have good thinking and memory abilities (score of 27 or higher on a mental status test).
  • Your depression medication has been stable for at least 2 weeks before starting the study.
  • You have no skin problems, like cuts or rashes, where the electrodes will be placed on your head.
