Who can take part

  • You have diabetes and a foot wound that is deep but not infected with pus.
  • Your foot wound is rated grade 2 to 4 on the Wagner scale (moderate to severe).
  • You have critical limb ischemia (severe blockage in leg arteries) and were at stage 6 on the Rutherford scale or stage 4 on the Fontaine scale.
  • You recently had a successful procedure to restore blood flow to your leg, confirmed by imaging and a doctor's exam.
  • You are not allergic to silver or any part of the wound vacuum therapy.
  • You can commit to follow-up visits.
