Breathing muscle training for sleep apnea patients

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)Sleep

Part of Brain & nervous system, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This trial tests whether training the muscles you use to breathe can improve sleep for people with moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea. It is for adults who are not currently receiving standard treatments like CPAP.

Myofunctional therapy for children with sleep apnea

This trial tests whether exercises for the mouth, tongue, and throat muscles can help children aged 6-12 with obstructive sleep apnea breathe better during sleep. It is an alternative or addition to other treatments like surgery or breathing machines.

NCT06117579Recruiting
Breathing Muscle Training for Sleep Apnea

This trial tests whether a simple breathing exercise (training the muscles you use to breathe in) can improve sleep apnea symptoms in people who already use CPAP. The goal is to see if adding this training helps you feel better or need less CPAP pressure.

NCT07329049Not yet recruiting
Breathing muscle training for sleep apnea brain health

This trial tests whether training your breathing muscles can improve brain function, blood flow to the brain, and a nerve growth factor in adults with moderate sleep apnea. If you have moderate sleep apnea, you may qualify.

NCT07469280Not yet recruiting
Breathing muscle training for severe obesity and sleep apnea

This study tests whether a high-intensity breathing exercise program can strengthen the muscles you use to inhale, in people with severe obesity and sleep apnea. The goal is to see if it improves breathing and sleep quality.

NCT06471751Recruiting
Muscle training for moderate sleep apnea

This trial tests whether a 3-month program of muscle exercises for breathing and mouth strengthens the airway, to help people with moderate sleep apnea breathe better during sleep and possibly reduce their symptoms.

NCT05739617Recruiting
Breathing and sleep training for people with sleep apnea

This trial tests a comprehensive breathing and respiratory exercise program for newly diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). It may help by improving sleep breathing and reducing apnea-related symptoms. You may be eligible if you recently learned you have OSA and meet age and health criteria.
