Who can take part
- You had your first stroke (either a clot or bleeding) in one side of the brain, confirmed by a scan.
- You are between 21 and 80 years old.
- It has been less than 8 weeks since your stroke.
- Your affected arm is very weak—unable to lift your shoulder or straighten your fingers.
- You do not have a history of seizures, epilepsy, brain tumor, or brain surgery.
- You are not pregnant, and you do not have metal implants in your head or neck.
