Who can take part

  • Had a stroke confirmed by CT or MRI scan at least 2 weeks ago
  • Stroke affected only one side of the brain (not both sides)
  • Have weakness in your hand from the stroke (not complete paralysis, but limited movement)
  • Are between 30 and 75 years old
  • Were right-handed before your stroke
  • Can communicate and follow simple instructions during the study
  • No implanted metal devices or pacemakers that would prevent MRI scans
