Who can take part
- You are having or have had a procedure (surgery or a minimally invasive procedure) on a leg blood vessel to restore blood flow because of poor circulation.
- You are taking a type of medicine called an SGLT2 inhibitor (names often end in -flozin, like empagliflozin) for at least 3 months before the procedure, or you start taking it right after the procedure.
- You can be checked on for at least 30 days and up to 1 year after the procedure to see how you are doing.
- Your procedure was not for an injury.
- You do not have any other planned surgeries at the time you leave the hospital that involve high-risk procedures (like heart surgery or another amputation).
