Who can take part

  • You have peripheral artery disease (PAD) in your legs, or have had leg pain when walking with weak pulses.
  • You had a procedure (like angioplasty or stenting) to open a blocked artery in your leg.
  • You do not have a recent stroke or certain types of stroke in the past month.
  • Your heart is pumping well (ejection fraction over 30%) and you do not have severe heart failure.
  • You are not allergic to blood thinners like rivaroxaban or aspirin.
  • You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant, and are using effective birth control if needed.
