Tau vaccine study for early Alzheimer's prevention

Alzheimer DiseasePreclinical Alzheimer's Disease

Treatments studied

Part of Brain & nervous system, Hormones & metabolism, Mental health clinical trials.

This study tests a vaccine that targets tau protein, which is linked to Alzheimer's disease. It is for older adults who have no memory problems yet but have biological signs of early Alzheimer's, to see if the vaccine can prevent or slow down the disease.

NCT07142278Not yet recruiting· Phase 1
Alzheimer's vaccine study for healthy adults ages 40 to 65

This trial tests an experimental vaccine (DUVAX) that targets two proteins linked to Alzheimer's disease: amyloid-beta and tau. It is an early-stage study to check safety and see how the body responds, aiming to prevent or delay the disease.

NCT06957418Recruiting· Phase 2
Alzheimer's tau drug study for early stage patients

This trial tests a treatment targeting tau protein buildup in the brain for people with early Alzheimer's. You may join if you have memory or thinking changes but are still living independently, and brain scans show both amyloid and tau clumps.

NCT07167966Enrolling by invitation· Phase 2
Alzheimer's tau vaccine study (AADvac1)

This trial tests a vaccine that targets tau tangles in the brain, which are linked to Alzheimer's. It is part of a larger platform study that combines different experimental treatments.

NCT06297590Recruiting· Phase 1
First human study of a new Alzheimer's drug

This study tests an experimental drug (LY3954068) for people with early Alzheimer's disease. It aims to see if the drug is safe and may slow memory loss. You'll need a PET scan to measure tau protein in the brain and have a study partner who can help attend appointments.

Maitland, Florida
NCT07142954Recruiting· Phase 3
Alzheimer's research study for healthy people

This study is looking at healthy people with no memory concerns to better understand early signs of Alzheimer's disease. You would provide samples and do thinking tests, but you won't take any experimental medicines.

NCT06121544Recruiting
Pre-Alzheimer's Study: Find Early Brain Changes

This study is looking for healthy volunteers to help detect the very earliest signs of Alzheimer's disease—before memory loss starts. You will have tests like memory checks, blood draws, brain scans, and a spinal tap to look for Alzheimer's-related changes.
