Who can take part

  • You have a diagnosis of depression (ICD-10 F32 or F33).
  • You have been on the same antidepressant(s) for at least 4 weeks.
  • Your depression symptoms score is high right now (QIDS).
  • You can safely have an MRI brain scan (no unsafe metal/implants like certain pacemakers).
  • You do not have certain past conditions like bipolar disorder, psychosis, or psychotic depression.
  • You haven’t used illegal drugs in the last 4 weeks and your alcohol use isn’t too heavy.
