Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF), meaning your irregular heartbeats come and go and each episode lasts less than 7 days.
- Your symptoms continue even after taking antiarrhythmic medications.
- This is your first catheter ablation procedure (a procedure using thin tubes to treat the heart).
- You do not have certain other health issues, such as an overactive thyroid, that could be causing your AF.
