- You have had pain in your jaw joint or chewing muscles for more than 3 months.
- Your pain level is above 30 out of 100 on a pain scale at your first visit.
- You have not lost back teeth that support your bite and you do not wear removable dentures.
- You do not have other mouth problems, recent head or neck injury, or conditions like fibromyalgia.
- You are not currently abusing pain medication or other substances.
