Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are currently in the intensive care unit (ICU)
  • You have an arterial line (a small tube in an artery for blood tests)
  • You are receiving high-flow oxygen through your nose (high flow nasal cannula)
  • Your oxygen level (SpO2) is between 88% and 100% on the usual monitor, and your oxygen concentration (FiO2) is between 40% and 80%
