Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are currently in the ICU after postoperative heart (cardiac) surgery
  • You have an arterial line (an artery catheter) for blood oxygen monitoring
  • You are on regular oxygen by nasal cannula at up to 5 liters per minute, and your oxygen saturation is usually 88% to 100% on the usual monitor
  • You must have a reliable oxygen reading (no missing SpO2 signal) from the monitor
