Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • Your limb dystonia is either genetic or without known cause (idiopathic) and has not responded well to oral medications or Botox injections.
  • You are willing to stay on your current medications and avoid Botox for at least 30 and 90 days, respectively.
  • You can communicate during the procedure and are comfortable with MRI scans.
  • You have not had prior brain surgery or deep brain stimulation.
  • You do not have any major health problems that would make the procedure risky, like unstable heart disease or uncontrolled psychiatric conditions.
