Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for abdominal surgery (either open or laparoscopic) under general anesthesia.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 30.
  • You are in good general health (classified as ASA I or II by your doctor).
  • You expect to have moderate to severe pain (score 4 or more out of 10) within 6 hours after surgery.
