Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You need a fatty liver diagnosis within the last 6 months.
  • You must have at least one metabolic issue like being overweight (BMI ≥23), type 2 diabetes, or other metabolic problems (like high waist size, blood pressure, or cholesterol).
  • Your liver fat must be at least 8% as measured by a special MRI scan.
  • You cannot have cirrhosis or other liver diseases like viral hepatitis, and you must not be taking certain medications that affect gut bacteria or liver health unless on a stable dose for at least 24 weeks.
