Who can take part

  • You are either a healthy person with no liver disease or you have been diagnosed with MAFLD (fatty liver disease with metabolic issues).
  • If you have MAFLD, it must be confirmed by imaging (like ultrasound) or a liver biopsy showing at least 5% fat in your liver cells.
  • You have at least one sign of metabolic syndrome, such as high blood pressure, high blood sugar, or abnormal cholesterol.
  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You agree to join the study and sign a consent form.
  • You have not had a serious infection or taken antibiotics, probiotics, laxatives, or stomach acid reducers in the past month.
