Vision training system for chronic vision loss after brain injury

This study tests a device called PAVE that may help improve vision in people who have lost part of their sight due to stroke, brain injury, or brain surgery. It is for those with ongoing vision problems, not those with eye diseases.

Who can take part

  • You had a stroke, brain injury, or brain surgery at least 6 months ago and up to 10 years ago
  • You have a specific type of vision loss affecting one side of your vision (called hemianopia or quadrantanopia) or general narrowing of vision
  • You are not currently using another vision therapy
  • You do not have a medical condition, like epilepsy or certain heart devices, that could interfere with the training
  • You are not taking medications like amphetamines that could affect your ability to learn
