Who can take part

  • You are 50 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with type 3 macular neovascularization (a specific form of wet age-related macular degeneration)
  • You have never received treatment for this condition before
  • Your vision in the study eye is at least 20/320 (24 letters on an eye chart)
  • You have not had a stroke or heart attack in the last 6 months
  • You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study
  • You do not have uncontrolled high blood pressure (above 180/100 mmHg)
