Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- Your kidneys are moderately to severely reduced in function (eGFR between 20 and 90).
- You have protein leaking into your urine (albuminuria) between 30 and 3500 mg/g.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is over 21.
- You are already on a stable, maximum-tolerated dose of an ACE inhibitor or ARB (kidney-protecting blood pressure pills) for at least 4 weeks.
- You do not have type 1 diabetes, and you have not had a heart attack, stroke, or major heart event in the last 3 months.
