- You have chronic kidney disease that has been clinically diagnosed
- Your kidney function (eGFR) is at least 20 mL/min/1.73 m², meaning your kidneys still have some function
- Your BMI (body mass index) is 20 kg/m² or higher
- Your blood pressure is controlled: systolic between 90–179 mmHg and diastolic below 110 mmHg
- You have not had kidney transplant surgery and don't have plans for one during the trial
- You have no history of medullary thyroid cancer, pancreatitis, or major stomach/intestinal surgery
